Do not use generated audio to impersonate real people, deceive listeners or commit fraud.

Three steps to a voiceover, then turn it into business

Get the audio here in three steps. Then drop it into your video and cut a finished piece, schedule it once to every platform in SocialEcho, pull comments and DMs into one inbox, and let the data show which post actually won customers — one workspace, end to end.

Step one · Three steps in this tool
1

Write the line, not the essay

Reels voiceovers are 2–4 sentences. Type the hook and the payoff; leave the rest to on-screen text.

2

Try two voices

Preview an upbeat voice and a clear neutral one against your hook. The right one is the one you'd stop scrolling for.

3

Download and layer

Drop the WAV into the Reels editor or CapCut, keep the original clip audio low, and enable captions.

Voiceover done? The marketing has only just started

What a Reels voiceover needs that a TikTok one doesn't

Reels and TikTok look the same on a spec sheet: vertical, short, sound-on optional. But Instagram's feed is muted by default more often, the audience skews older, and the algorithm rewards saves and shares over rewatches. That changes what the voice has to do.

01

Design for sound-off first

Assume the first play is silent. The voiceover's job is to reward the person who taps the speaker, not to carry the message alone. Keep it to two to four sentences: the hook, the one thing to know, and what to do. Everything else belongs in on-screen text. Because the script is short, generate two or three variants with different voices and pick by feel — each generation takes a few seconds and there is no cap.

02

Fast voice switching for a series

A carousel-style series (“3 mistakes”, “day 1 / day 2”) reads better when the voice stays constant across episodes, but a duet or reaction format benefits from two distinct voices. The voice wall on this page keeps upbeat and clear voices side by side so you can produce both halves of a two-voice Reel without leaving the page. Download each as its own WAV and alternate them on the timeline.

03

Captions have to match the audio exactly

Instagram's auto-captions transcribe the audio track; if you edit the words on screen after generating, the captions and the voice drift and the Reel feels sloppy. Lock the script first, generate, then caption. Consistent pronunciation from the AI voice means the auto-captions come out clean the first time, which is the main practical reason to use a generated voice over a rushed phone recording.

04

Shorts too, with no re-export

The same WAV works for YouTube Shorts. Export the Reel once at 1080×1920, and post it to both — with a free SocialEcho account you schedule the Reel, the Short and the TikTok from one composer instead of uploading three times.

Reels voice generator FAQ

Straight answers before you hit generate

How do I add the voice to a Reel?
In the Instagram Reels editor tap Audio → Import (on supported versions) or add it in CapCut first and export. Keep the clip's own sound at −18 dB under the voice.
Are these Instagram's own voices?
No. Instagram's built-in text-to-speech only exists inside the app. These are openly licensed voices you can reuse across Reels, Shorts, TikTok and ads.
Does a voiceover hurt reach on Instagram?
No — Instagram rewards watch-through, saves and shares. A clear voice that explains the visual improves all three. Label synthetic content where it could mislead.

Voice done. Post the Reel, the Short and the TikTok in one go.
