Trim Video Online — Cut Start & End, No Re-encoding

Load the video, then drag the left handle of the thumbnail timeline to where the clip should start and the right handle to where it should end — or drag the whole selection to move it. If you know the exact times, type them into the Start and End boxes as mm:ss.s — plain seconds and h:mm:ss.s work too. Press Trim and download the clip; the part outside the range is dropped.

Because the video is cut without re-encoding, the start has to land on a keyframe — the only frames a player can begin from. The tool snaps to the nearest keyframe before your chosen start, which is usually 1–2 seconds early but can be several seconds on videos with sparse keyframes, such as screen recordings or some phone footage. No. Trimming uses stream copy: the video and audio data inside your chosen range are written to the new file exactly as they are. Resolution, frame rate, bitrate and colour are all untouched, and that's also why it finishes in seconds rather than minutes. If you need a smaller file afterwards, run the clip through the video compressor.

One range per run. To split a video into three parts, set the first range and download, then set the second range and download, and so on. The source stays loaded, so each pass only takes a few seconds. Each clip is at least half a second long.

Trimming doesn't create or transfer any rights. If the footage is yours or licensed to you, the clip can be used commercially in exactly the same way as the original. If it belongs to someone else, cutting it shorter doesn't make it yours — only trim content you own or have permission to use.
