Download in 3 steps

No install, no signup — done right in your browser.

1

Copy the Pin link

Tap the share icon on the Pin and choose Copy link, or copy from the address bar: pinterest.com/pin/… (pin.it short links work too).

2

Paste and resolve

Drop it into the box above. We request the largest size available for that Pin, not the thumbnail from the grid.

3

Download the image or video

Images come back as JPEG or PNG, video Pins as MP4. One click saves the file.

Once downloaded, use multi-platform scheduling to queue the content to TikTok, Instagram and more in one go.

Getting usable files off Pinterest

Pinterest is where most people build visual references, mood boards and product research — but the images it renders on the page are compressed display sizes. Getting the version you can actually put in a design file means bypassing the thumbnail and requesting the original.

01

Why right-click-save gives you a blurry image

To keep the masonry grid fast, Pinterest renders thumbnails 236px or 564px wide. Right-click and Save Image As gets you exactly that thumbnail, which will look soft the moment you drop it into a layout. Pinterest actually stores several sizes per Pin, the largest usually 736px or the full uploaded dimensions. We request the largest available version — which is why the same Pin downloaded here and right-click-saved from the grid produce visibly different files.

02

Video Pins and Idea Pins

Pinterest has pushed hard into video in recent years. A standard video Pin resolves to an MP4 like any other platform. Idea Pins are multi-page story formats where each page may be an image or a short clip; those pages are listed separately in the results, so you can take only the ones you need.

03

What people actually use this for

E-commerce product research, interior design references, outfit boards, food plating inspiration — that's where Pinterest usage concentrates. Once you've collected a reference set, our image editor can crop everything to a consistent size, or the carousel maker can arrange them into a multi-image post for another platform.

04

Copyright, plainly

Most images circulating on Pinterest were not created by the person who pinned them — they're re-saved from brand sites, photographers' portfolios and other social networks. So 'downloadable' is not the same as 'licensed for commercial use'. Reference, mood boards and internal decks are generally fine; anything going into paid media or print needs permission traced back to the actual rights holder.

FAQ

Pinterest downloader FAQ

A few things worth knowing before you download.

How do I download a full-resolution image from Pinterest?+

Copy the Pin link and paste it here. We request the largest size stored for that Pin, which is normally far sharper than the thumbnail you'd get by right-clicking in the grid.

Can I download Pinterest video Pins?+

Yes, video Pins resolve to an MP4 file. Idea Pins — the multi-page story format — are listed page by page so you can download only the pages you want.

Do pin.it short links work?+

Yes. Short links are expanded to the full pinterest.com/pin/… address automatically before resolving, so you can paste them directly.

Do Pins download without a watermark?+

None comes from Pinterest — the platform doesn't sign its Pins, and neither do we. The nuance lies with the source. Nearly every Pin is material re-saved from some other site, so if the photographer or brand had already placed their signature inside the image, that signature is part of the file and comes down with it.

Can I download an entire board at once?+

Not yet — Pins are resolved one at a time, with 3 free resolves per device per day. If you handle reference material in bulk, a registered account gives you a workspace for managing it.
