Description: The 【Share Report】feature generates independent access links for analyzed data, allowing team members, clients, or managers to view authorized report content without logging into the current workbench. The creator can control the report module, account scope, link validity period, access password, and logo display.
I. Confirmation before starting
- You are currently in the correct team; your account list and shareable data may change if you switch teams.
- The social media account to be shared has been authorized, and the analytics page can display the account's data correctly.
- The platform, account, reporting module, and statistical period that the recipient needs to view have been clearly identified.
- External sharing may include followers, exposure, interaction, content, and store operation data. Before creating it, you need to confirm the recipients and the scope of dissemination.
Note: The report sharing feature is only available on the Team Edition plan. The Free and Basic Edition plans will be locked.
II. Sharing Reports (Understanding the Sharing Configuration Window)

Figure 1: The 【Analysis - Platform Report】 page; the upper right corner allows you to refresh, share the report, and export the report.

Figure 2: [Sharing Analysis Report - Create New Sharing Configuration] Window
Click on "Share Report" to open the sharing window, which contains two tabs: "Create New Sharing Configuration" and "Generated Links".
The former is used to create links, and the latter is used to view existing links; the number after the tab indicates the number of links that have been generated so far.

Settings |
Page Options |
How to choose |
|
Reporting module |
Platform reports, post reports, store reports |
Multiple selection is allowed. Only modules that the recipient needs to view are made available, reducing the exposure of irrelevant information. |
|
Account data range |
All accounts, filter by platform, specify account |
All accounts are suitable for internal overview; accounts by platform are suitable for channel reporting; designated accounts are suitable for customer or single-brand reporting. |
|
Link validity period |
Valid for 7 days, 30 days, or indefinitely. |
Select 7 days for temporary access; select 30 days for monthly collaboration; "Permanent" is only for long-term and sustainable management scenarios. |
|
Password protection |
Turn off or on |
It is recommended to enable this feature when there is a high risk of receiving external recipients, sensitive business data, or forwarding sensitive information. |
|
Custom Logo |
PNG/JPG/SVG, maximum size 2MB |
We recommend a 4:1 landscape aspect ratio and a file size of at least 400×100px; please confirm brand usage permissions before uploading. |
|
Reset parameters |
Restore the currently created configuration |
Use this when the wrong range is selected or when you need to start over; it will not replace the management of existing links. |
III. Selecting the Account Data Range
All Accounts
Select all accounts within the current team that can be used for reporting. This is suitable for internal operational overviews but not for external reporting that serves only a single client. After selecting, verify the number of platforms and accounts displayed on the page.
Filter by platform
Narrow down the scope by platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Threads. This is suitable for reporting the overall performance of only one channel; eligible accounts on the same platform will be included together.
Designated account
Select only one or more clearly defined accounts. This is suitable for client reporting, brand review, and viewing by account owners, and is the most reliable way to control scope when sharing externally.
Note the scope verification: The account scope determines which business data the recipient can see. Before generating the link, you must double-check the current team, selected platforms, and number of accounts; do not rely solely on the original filters on the analytics page to determine the final sharing scope.
IV. Create and verify share links
- In the [Reports Function Module], select the platform reports, post reports, or store reports that the recipient needs to view.
- Select 【All Accounts】【Filter by Platform】 or 【Specify Account】 and complete the platform or account selection.
- Choose "7 days", "30 days" or "permanent"; Recommendation: For external sharing, prioritize using the limited-term option.
- Whether to enable password protection depends on the sensitivity of the data; if branding is required, then upload a logo that meets the specifications.
- Check the number of selected platforms, accounts, modules, and validity period on the page, and confirm that the "Generate Share Link" button is available.
- Click "Generate Share Link," and copy the link and access credentials from the generated results. The password should be sent separately from the link.
- Open the link in a browser window where you are not logged into SocialEcho, and check the report module, account range, date, page load, and password verification item by item.
- After confirming that everything is correct, send it to the recipient, specifying its purpose, validity period, and prohibition of forwarding.
V. Viewing and managing generated links
- Click the "Share Report" button in the upper right corner of the analysis page again.
- Switch to "Generated Links"; the tab number can be used to confirm the current number of links.
- Once you find the target link, first check its scope, validity period, and current status, then copy or open it for inspection.
- When a project ends, the scope of acceptance changes, or the account ownership changes, promptly deactivate, cancel, or recreate the link according to the management operations provided on the page.

VII. Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the share button show as locked or unable to be opened?
A: First, confirm the current team's data plan and member permissions. Sharing reports is only available with the team data plan; read-only members can only view the data and do not have editing permissions.
Why is the "Generate Share Link" option unclickable?
A: This usually indicates that the reporting module is not selected, the account range has not been effectively selected, or the necessary configuration has not been completed. Try selecting the module and account range again, and check the number of selected modules displayed on the page.
Why is there a discrepancy between the report data and the analysis page?
A: Please check the team, reporting module, account range, current/historical scope, statistical granularity, and date in sequence. If necessary, return to the analytics page, refresh the data, and then recreate the link.
Why can't the recipient open it?
A: Confirm that the link is not missing and is still valid, and check if password protection is enabled. The password should be case-sensitive and complete. If you still cannot access the site, create a new short-term test link.
Why did the custom logo upload fail?
A: Please check if the file format is PNG, JPG, or SVG, and if the size exceeds 2MB. We recommend using a 4:1 landscape image with a resolution of at least 400×100px.
